I'll sit in line for the server, wait 20-30 mins... a slot will open, the game will start loading the level, and right before connect, I get kicked out with the message "Server is full".

Great guide! The only thing I would add is please... PLEASE do not spam the medic key. If you're in a group with a few other injured players, I will get to you. If I stop healing you when you hit 75% or so health, it's only because I'm trying to help someone else.

It's like you took L4D, RE2, CSS, and TF2, tossed them into a blender, and added a dollop of terrible voice acting. It's pretty fun, challenging, and at that price it's hard to beat.

Some are pretty tough. I had to learn to die less to get Specialist, and I don't have enough TF2 friends to get Family Practice. But since lowering the bar to get Ubersaw, it's certainly easy to get enough of them.

It's also because a 450 watt power supply doesn't actually put out 450 watts. Generally as they heat up, their efficiency drops, and it's quite possible that after running a while, that power supply is only putting out 360 watts(80% efficiency). For systems with higher-end graphics cards...

I play a good amount of L4D with some good friends of mine, but we're starting to tire of the ragequits and lack of maps. Does anyone know of other good 4-8 player online games out now or coming soon? Doesn't necessarily have to be FPS.

Auditorium is indeed beautiful, but the later levels can get really tricky, similar to Braid. Just be careful. :)

Private servers really aren't worth it. Beyond lag and inconsistent player experience, it just lacks the huge amount of people you'll find on a real WoW server. Private servers(locally hosted) can be fun for exploring, experimenting, and just messing around, but go for the real thing.
