You NEED to circulate that oil, or else it would not transfer heat causing overheating. The more wattage (the more powerful components) you dump into it, the more it needs to be circulated. Ph?bus is completely right, you need to sacrifice power for silence, changing the medium of which the heat...

Yeah, those 3 are the best, assuming you arent benching low end cards. For example if you can run 1280x1024 you can definitely run 1440x900 due to similar amounts of pixels. If you bother reviewing lower end cards throw in 720p, its the wide screen resolution of choice for people with weak gpus...

Sounds good, L4D2 may be redundant, simply because its so easy to run (I get 60+ fps at 32x aa!), and cpu bound. But go for it! I look forward to the review.
