seems pointless to do this cant be used for any real life work so just useless wast of money and time and a possible CPU if something goes wrong.

the vegetable oil idea can cause more damage in the end since if you leave your setup running all day and night like most people the oil will eventually reach it's full heat capacity and stop cooling things and actually insulate them after that point.
so the only way for that to work is if oil was actually recycled and cooled.
i thought that would be the obvious.
I did do real work, I calculated 1 million digits of Pi, and today I calculated 32 million prime numbers.
And the possiblity of killing hardware is there, but I don't really like to think about that.:thumbup1:
Puget had their oil system running for 2 years without major problems. Albeit, they added a radiator, but that isn't that hard to do.
You should always think about an "If" factor when doing these kind of things.
If something went wrong, and You had to replace everything, would You have enough money for that?

only 5.1 on a p4? that is pretty weak. On Dry Ice people can usually get 6GHz at least. Those things are like tanks, you can put 2.2v through them, and they will still be fine.
Current World record for 775, is on a Celeron D @8.2GHz
Current WR for i3/i5/i7 is 7.3GHz on a i5 655K
Current WR on AM3 is 7.3GHz on a Phenom II 975.
AMD CPUs don't exhibit a cold bug, so you can boot them as cold as you want. Intel on the other hand, wont even post if it is too cold.
I got my coveted 5.5GHz today. Should be able to validate it soon
