So I'm upgrading my computer a little bit (video card, psu, case) and I'm in the market for a new case. I loved my Antec 900 but it's going to my friend so he has a case for the computer I'm building him. I've been looking at the Cooler Master ACTS 840 (Link)for it's slide out motherboard tray and abundance of room. Does anyone have any suggestions for another option or does anyone have this case? At the very least I want another case with the slide-out tray because it makes life so much easier.

ATCS gets a really good review on Maximum PC (link)
i would go for it

or you could use that microwave in you avatar

I like the microwave.

Must set to 4:32 then press Start, and only then will computer turn on.

Genius.

Hey i have a Cooler Master HAF 932. This case is absolutely beastly. It has the best airflow on the market pretty much with 3x230mm fans and 1x140mm fan. The case is huge and is enough to fit any card out there. I really like the Cooler Master Stacker though but you would need to buy 4 fans to put in the side fan bracket to get the amazing airflow, unlike the Cooler Master HAF 932 which was developed to have Higher Air Flow (hence the name HAF) and comes with the big fans already. Its extremely quiet because of the large fans also. This case looks really cool too, war theme.

Cooler Master Stacker - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119122

The HAF 932 is the airflow king basically with the stock fans and all, but i love the Stacker and the ability to fit 4 fans in the side fan bracket which would give it hte ultimate airflow. Just need to pay a bit more to get that high airflow.

I have to recommend Lian-Li. Never has let me down. The current one I own is this one. Tons of space, nice and light, and great airflow. It's a simple case, but I'm not one for frills and "pretty" lights, etc. This case can also be rearranged a lot depending on how you want things.

I'm not really a fan of mobo trays unless you switch hardware alot so... I like my coolermaster haf932 so much that I started to recommend in every case thread, including this one

A good review: http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/coolermaster_haf_932/

My only complaint with the haf is it has those crazy led fans again. I've had an antec 900 and I think it may be time for less leds. I don't upgrade alot but I tend to clean my computer out of dust and such alot so being able to get to the mobo quickly is an added bonus. Thanks for all the recommendations!

The Cooler Master ATCS 840 is my number one choice for cases under $200. Excellent potential for both air and water cooling. And has dust filters, unlike the Haf 932.

Then get the coolermaster stacker i recommended. It features a removable motherboard tray and everything. Has the ability to fill up the side fan bracket with 4 fans for ultimate airflow and it looks pretty nice too. It has limited edition versions which look nicer but are more expensive.
Hmmmm but yea i guess once again u might be annoyed by that one and only LED fan on the front even though the case door kinda blocks it a bit but u can still see the light through the air grits. There might be a button to turn off the LED though but i dont know.

probably not your cup of tea, but i wanted to post it anyway. this is my case and it works for everything i need it to work with. cool master elite 341 m-ATX case. compact, light, and lots of air flow

4x 120mm fans with 70 cfm and voila my temps in cel are currently 15-HDD 42-GPU 27-both Cores
oh and i still have 12-13 inches of length in the case for a video card, so being micro isn't restricting anything for me

The stacker or the atcs seems to be the best two options. Really all cases should come with motherboard trays. It's such a convenient feature. I also would love to see cases start coming with the Sata back plates. Being able to just plug your HDD's in is also really nice.

Quoth the Raven

I have the SILVERSTONE RAVEN RV01 and love it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163135
The case is huge, looks like the front of a stealth fighter, and is now $169.00 with a $30.00 mail in rebate. It rotates the motherboard 90 degrees so that all the hot air rises to the top. All the connectors are also on top which makes it very easy to plug everything in. I leave the cover off over the connectors to get maximum airflow, which is already very good. My system has heat generators with a GTX 295 video card and i7 965 cpu, so I have a tower type floor fan that I run into the open front door of my Raven to push the air even more. Average idle temps for the GTX 295 are 50 degrees Celsius and my average is between 47 to 50 degrees Celsius. In game temps are also within the norms of this video card. My internal fans are stock, but some people upgrade them for more improved cooling.

I am very happy with the Raven RV01. Read the reviews at Newegg if you are interested in learning more.

the led fans don't look as bright as advertised... It's hardly noticeable. My only complaint is the HDD led...

I have stickers over all of my leds...HDD, power led, the led on my speakers...seriously, why do pc makers think we need a light to remind us the pc we are currently using is on? we know it's on thank you /rant

also, if you are short on stickers, feel free to apply ducttape liberally to any annoying leds :)

I've already abused you, ducttape.

ahhhh the power LED light on the HAF 932 is CRAZYYYY BRIGHTTT......the fan LED is so-so and not so bright but the power LED is just like WTFFF!!!......if i keep my HAF 932 on overnight i always put some piece of paper over that blue light, its so freaking bright.

I also like the silverstone raven though, its a really good looking case and just cool in general. Would be like my second or third choice in a case.

I second the HAF 932. It is a beast. Great look and lot of space to work with and not to mention,, great AIR FLOW.

+1 for anti-led sentiments. I despise light emitting from my tower. It looks tacky and makes me feel like I'm some sort of 13-year old 1337 haxxor.

(apologies to all the 13 year olds in the room, you'll realize how lame you are at that age someday. no one faults you for it now, we were all lame then too)
