Blackmesa news

To be honest, I don't quite see how well plr_blackmesa would work. I mean, PLR maps are distinct in that they force the teams to collide and compete within a restrictive amount of space. If A is the final objective point, then I can't see this working out well. There'd be little incentive to try to interrupt the other team's progress until the very end of the race. Now, pushing say, into the other team's intel/cap B/K room, now that would make it interesting.

CTF also needs more forcing of collision for the teams. Having multiple paths to go places is nice, but it's too scattered for a CTF environment, and much too easy for a couple of scouts to dominate the entire map. It's nearly impossible to get a team to react and cover all three routes when the intel gets stolen. Now, a single flag CTF, with it starting down below in the middle, might be interesting to see.

Try this. Start at your teams second cap (L, C). Work your way towards your stairs (back through spawn), and go down them, then go past A, and up the other team's stairs, into then go up the other teams stairs, and into the final cap (B, K).

I know it's really long, but it'd be so much fun!

Yeah, you are great. Blackmesa is an amazing map and I hope you have the ability to make many more like it.

DragonHill, I LOVE Blackmesa!
Thanks for being so awesome!

I'm a little afraid I won't like these new-fangled versions just because I love the original so much... Does that make me a pansy?
