Mouse Keeps Locking Up on C:SS

well yeah, my mouse keeps locking up only on css, when im offline it works.

I think it might be a spray i downloaded.

Is it a wireless mouse by chance?
If so, do you use a wireless keyboard that uses the same receiver?
If so, does the mouse only lock up when you are pushing keys on the keyboard?

Is css freezing just the mouse or the entire computer?

Have you tired reinstalling or updating the drivers for the mouse?

No to all of those
The mouse just locks up for like 3 seconds and like6 times in an hour

Open up that thing and clean it out. Use condensed air. If that doesnt work, did your mouse come with a cd to install it?

What kind of mouse is it? I had a few problems with a couple of mice from Logitech in counter strike source. You might need to call support and get a new mouse.

The light(the one at the bottom of the mouse) sometimes goes off fully so we have to plug it out and plug it back in.


It bugs me so much in game, please help.

It could be any thing the above posters mentioned, or as I like to call it, Windows. It could be a USB interrupt issue, a driver issue, A faulty mouse, something running in the background, etc...

Does it do it in any other games?

I have a Optical Mouse from Microsoft and It was doing the same thing to me. I took a Q-tip and Hydrogen Peroxide and cleaned the two sensors on the bottom of it and It stopped locking up. Water will probably work just as good though.

I'm going to try this, it seems easy.
My parents will do it since I don't own the computer.
