DDO: Free to play and YOU!

I suppose this needs a good updatin'.

So, two months after the stellar(ish) release of DDO:EU, they already have the next major content update, currently titled "Update 1," for preview on the testing server, or what most people might know as server the beta was held on, Lamannia.

The patch notes have not been officially released, and although I have seen them and a lot of it is common knowledge, I won't be posting it on here for that reason.

I am installing now. Not sure what Im gonna make... but I'll roll on your guys' server. What faction and such? Im going free to play for now to figure out whether or not I wanna play it seriously.

My friends and I have started playing this finally, it's not bad. It's mostly fun when you have a bunch of people willing to play with you...solo is dull.

Have to agree (though I perfer to solo up to level 5ish). The game is absolutely built for grouping and if you don't you're not getting what the game is all about.

and a fresh new palidin in Thelanis(max 4,still waiting for the lvl upgrade to drop)

Hiya y'all. I would recommend the Argonessan server as there are quite a few players active at all hours of the day. Plus I have a lvl 11 cleric "Breytanna" that I run with, so if you need some healing let me know.

I've been thinking of starting on a new server (more than likely as a wizard or sorc, since they don't require *significant* amounts of upkeep) because I'm starting to believe that my horrible, horrible time getting groups for 12+ quests is due to Thelanis, and formerly Xoriat, being the "hardcore" server. (0 groups ever for anything but Bloodstone runs and the only people who seem to do Gianthold just do it on elite and are done with it. I'm not comfortable jumping straight into elite when I've never done the quest. And then I can't get into Vale groups because I'm still 13.)

I might try out Argonessan this week and see what I think of it.
