super easy and very fast. this will save a lot of people from getting their account stolen.

I just did it and it took less then 2 minutes.

lol. I have already done this and I very surprised that steam has only implemented this recently, very very surprising. A ton of people could have saved their accounts if Valve had does this earlier.

Yea, didn't you know hammer is super mean and puts phishing accounts on our website!

I highly recommend this and made a post about it one of the other related threads here. Takes no time what so ever and will save you from a lot of embarrassment if you do fall victim to such a scam. Just make sure your email and Steam passwords are different.

this still doesn't make it safe. when my RS.com account was phished the phisher got my email as well as my RS account. it made it a pain to get it back. point of the story is if they want it they will find a way to get it

not really in this case the phisher would need your e-mail and PW and the steam user and PW so that 4 bits of info and 2 are unrelated.

and really just be smart about things it is very very rare that steam actually gets hacked what people keep falling for are phishing and other social engineering tricks which relie on the user not paying attention or not knowing what they are doing.

just watch out for i have never had anything hacked or ever got a virus and im using no spyware/virus protection

I saw this when i heard of what happened to HUNK lol.. not only verified the e-mail i changed my password.. i have way too many games and my credit card to get that stuff stolen
