question regarding a possible dust2 exploit...

I was in the Dust2 server early this morning (3:45am EST) and while i was on the marines side, i noticed that somehow a crafty Insurgent had found away on top of the Marine spawn point.

I changed to Spectator and watched as a player had found a way to use a barrel to boost himself up the broken stairs and on to the top part of Marine spawn.

I have two demos record of two separate players doing the same thing...not sure if this exploit is new or old but i thought i'd bring it up and see what can be done about this...i have two demos as well as steam ID's of the players.

I know making a thread about some punk kid spawn camping isnt quite necessary, but i would also like to note that the Dust2 server is a crazy mess of spawn camping, swearing, and inappropriate player names around this time. No eG or eGO admins were online at all while i was playing on the Dust2 server as well.

I dont allow it just because its hard enough for marines to get spawn camped. That is the only place they have to sorta safely exit there spawn, as you might be aware how easily it is to get marines pinned down, exiting up the ladder to take back control is the best option but with people jumping on there will just cause more of a headache.

I agree there too, drunken. Marines can get stopped on the right and left

Right: going down mid and stopped there by covered fire
Left Up in the build as they climb or try to come down the alley, somone's there.

You've gotta boost to get there. Therefore, it's not allowed. I kicked 3 pubs yesterday morning for doing this. They each came back and and did it again so I recorded them all and sent in 3 ban requests and then kicked them again.

Dust really needs some lovin'. Capping all the points doesn't reset the round so there is no point to capping which just breaks the game down to who can spawn camp the best. I only join when the BAR & BAS servers are empty, but I loath to do so because I just know I am gonna just end up babysitting some nuisance player(s).

We deal with this particular one all the time. This is a boost, which isn't allowed anyway. This one is used to spawn camp and get into illegal spots (in this case, the opposing spawn) and is to be handled with the usual warn/kick/ban. If you see someone doing this, politely warn them not to. If they continue, notify a G or up.

There was a player called Cutelittlebunyy , STEAM_0:0:16549449. He was using his smoke in the Insurgents team and not making player move this made many players angry and annoyed. So I was wondering is this ok or bad?

This is a form of griefing, and unacceptable. Let an admin know if someone is doing this.

yea everyones pretaty much said it. i dont allow insurgents up there cause A) you have to boost and B) as drunken said its the only totally safe place for marines to exit.

He's already been banned by me. If you have a condump or any other proof, make a ban request.

yep, ive already got him banned before for doing that also
