Possible reason why AT&T may hate me...

Well I went to AT&Ts site to see why my AirCard was in 2G mode and not 3G...

Turns out I passed my limit with out realizing it:

Been wondering why it was slow last two days...

I think they hate me now since its the first time over 100GB and usually 40 - 80GB used...

meh... whatever finally was able to order Verizon 3Mbs DSL plan, win come the 17th...

60$ for Unlimited AirCard 2mbs/384kbs..

or

30$ for Unlimited DSL 3mbs/768kbs...


FYI: I do have unlimited data on this AT&T plan, it just registers as 5GB
Also actual reason its 2G is because they disabled or are working on the 3G network on the Oregon coast but who cares... DSL FTW

Look at it this way:

Plan is 5GB monthly, additional MB are 5$ each or so...

on an average 50GB, so 50-5 means 45000mb overage so 45000 * 5 = $225,000 in overage charges...

If this bill:

103GB - 5 = 98,000MB

98,000*5 = $500,000 Rounded....

in the 13 Months of our contract if every month was 5GB

That means

$225,000monthly * 12 = $2,700,000 + This month of 103GB ($500,000)

so were looking at a 3.2 Million dollars in overages if this wasn't the unlimited plan (Thanks EdgeWireless, when it was)
