So I Got Insurgency Today

Yes, its true. Today was the first time ive ever played Insurgency. The first thing i noticed about it was how dang hard it was! I couldnt score a single kill for the first few matches, until i found some guy that was apparently AFK in a building.

Then i started to get the hang of it. I realized that INS required a much different playing style than TF2 (My native habitat). I took me a couple hours to make this transition, from Heavy Weapons Guy with a Medic to the lone Marine. Once i got it though, i fell in love with the game. I enjoy it more than i like TF2 to be honest. INS is significantly more difficult, and that makes success even more fun.

So the moral of the story is, expect to see Anonymous.User(s) around more often. :P

It's... different. You have to really put some time into it before you start to get the hang of it, as it's not like most other FPS out there. One thing INS lacks is Sandvich though.

It's true, all INS needs is a sandvich. :P You'll find that there are quite a number of people in the INS division who transferred from TF2 (myself included, as well as many in leadership). It is a very good game, especially for a Beta. I'll see you around.

Hey here's a trick when you're using the Marines Rifle, whenever you see an enemy ahead and he sees you,do not iron sight, just shoot him but make sure you are moving right or left (I prefer a zigzag manner so that the enemy can't get you) using the 2 pointing out thingy (XD) as a crosshair,it works with me eventhough i have high ping :D

It took me a while to learn Ins, but when I did, damn it's fun.

You can tell who just got the game in the first 5 seconds you see them. They rush and they think they will spray and get 5 head shots.

Eww, dust. Sorry, but dust2 doesn't play anything at all like INS is supposed to, in my opinion. It's mostly running and gunning with a touch of spawn camping. I think getting the best feel for the game is learning the maps. I can understand that it could be a favorite because it's easier to get the hang of, but the greatest thrill I've found in INS is actual teamwork and pulling flanking maneuvers around small maps like Abdallah.

AMEN!:P

The best skill to learn i think is to understand that your m16 are light and easy to carry around, but i strongly recommend everyone to play in single fire mode, you can shoot allot faster than an automatic if you fire really fast.

Once you learn aiming,, then move to the 3 round burst but only when your trying to snipe then once you get that you can go back to single fire and get headshots.. cause you will learn where to look.

Playing the maps will also teach you the most camping spots people like to hide.

That might also be because I'm constantly changing it. The original mapper left so many bugs :(
