Back to the topic, since I doubt Borderlands will use GFWL, anyone have any idea what they're using for the multiplayer?

Probably just a in game browser sort of thing.

But... the game dosen't release at midnight on steam, usually sometime during the late morning-early afternoon, im not for sure but I am for sure they wont release at midnight.

There are a million war games, there is only one Borderlands which is a roleplaying shooter which there are very few. This will be more addicting, since all rpgs are I mean just look Diablo its the constant pursuit of improving your character plus now improving your aim.

yea personally i agree w/ cut chemist...modern warfare 2 doesnt look really that great...especially w/ no dedicated servers...i would buy the modern warfare 2 soundtrack though...hans zimmer is an aweosme composer

I'm about 70/30 about this. The 70% I want a new game to play and pass the time till MW2. The 30% I don't want the game is because MW 2 is coming out in a few short weeks. Stupid holiday gaming season. I'm going to try and rent this for the 360 and see how it is.

D2 didn't have much of a story line, yet it was / is a popular game. But special perhaps not.
Different genres appeal to different ppl. Personally I don't care about the story line. I am expecting there to be difficulties that require good co op skills. I am going to be playing this a lot when i comes out. I like progressive games. Story line doesn't bother me much.

Fair enough. There are plenty of games I like that aren't memorable.
I really am hyping myself about the co-op. I really like good co-ops (Synergy and L4D are my favs atm)

I agree, i believe it will be the co-op nature that drives the game and makes the replay value increase tremendously. c'mon the original gauntlet wasn't a great game in and of itself but get three buddies with you and it rocked!!

Plus i also think the whole setting will be a fresh take on thing, who didnt want to be mel gibson as mad max? similar setting imo

If it didn't have coop, I know for SURE I would not be buying it. Its only because of how much everyone I know talks about it that made me decide to get it.
