my pc is starting to lag more and more each day if i log on by myself i do not lag but when i am game with other it start off find then i start lagging and keeping wrost as the game gones on :facewall:

what games are you talking about, is it if there is one more player or 15 on the server. Can you post some of your computer specs:
cpu
ram
videocard
how many tasks are running in the backgound. this can be found out by hitting ctrl/alt/del and selecting the processes tab.

i have shutdown all task but what take to run window and my antivirus. i hve run a dxdiag and it all past, this all started after a stom and we lost electricity and it came back in at have power, it nock out my power supply it was a 650w i had a 250 power supply that i put in, i have replace power supply with a 680w power supply :facewall:

How fast is your internet?

Did you have these problems BEFORE the lightning or only AFTER?

First: whats ur internet speed?? go to speedtest.net and run a test post it here please
Second: record ur frame per second and post them here also.
Need to make sure it isnt ur internet speed.

the power problem knocked out his power supply and may have damaged other parts as well. What wee need to do is test them.

Start with your ram try one stick in the first slot only, then try each stick in that same slot if the problem gets worse then thats the bad stick. there are programs to test ram can't think of any right now you could try. Remember to turn off the computer each time you remove or add ram.

Look in windows control panel/system too see how much ram its reading first.

started after the lightning it be getting wost each day/1.99 gb of ram/ speed test is downlod speed is 8073kbps upload speed is 523 kbps/lag in all games but if i am by myself it dose not lag/ reloader window xp and all my games

You could try all that stuff about the RAM but you may wanna try this first- If you have had Windows installed for more then a year then it's always good to just backup the stuff you need and do a clean install. I just re-installed Windows myself and it's way snappier now then ever! Windows open faster, my games don't lag, and I get better FPS. If you have had windows on there for less time, I would crack open the computers case and get some canned are and clean out the dust bunnies or get a program called Ccleaner, it cleans up a lot of old unused files that you never see, like windows temp files and so on. If you wanna check for bugs you can download [ame="http://download.cnet.com/Spybot-Search-amp-Destroy/3000-8022_4-10122137.html?tag=mncol"]Spybot Search and Destroy [/ame]. I myself would just recommend re-installing Windows but if you do remember to back up your stuff!

http://www.memtest.org/ Go there and goto the free download page and download it. Then burn it to a disc and reboot with the disc in. Let it run for awhile. If you have 1 error there is something wrong with the ram. This was going on with my last computer and turned out it was the ram also.

just remember it may not be the ram itself it may be a short in the slot it is plugged into caused by the power surge that took out his last power supply.

You can try to lower your Direct X level, it usually fixes the lag, but anything beyond 8.1 doesn't really do much.
