So I just noticed a week ago or so my game would get EXTREMELY laggy, like i had 5000 ping, but when i put my texture settings on medium im like super fine and i play perfect. But when I put it on medium or low sprays and map details look like crap and Byakuya made me an awesome spray but its terrible quality when im on medium or low texture details. I'll try fiddling with my max fps and a few other commands, and i know its not my internet cause my ping is fine when im playing high or medium texture detail. Any way to fix this?

Well, im currently using my brothers laptop, but my comp is a Lenovo SL500, ill update this post when i get back to my laptop.

Well, ram is 2.00 GB(haven't changed it), CPU is Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T6570, and my GPU is NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS.

the problem could be your gpu im thinking cause thats a pretty low end graphics card, but i dont think it should give you high ping just low frame rates

Yeah, that isn't a gaming laptop.. more work oriented. NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS. <-- big problem, your getting huge FPS lag because the GPU isn't for gaming..at all.

To bad you can't upgrade, can't really pull apart the laptop.. so you'll just have to live with the bad looking sprays. I think I saw a fix on fpsbanana that makes the sprays high quality while you are using lower textures.

so....i don't get it. you're contradicting yourself. do you get laggy as in FPS with high settings, or ping

you can turn things down like HDR (off), models low, shadows low blah blah and just keep the world detail as high. that shouldn't be too bad. there are also console commands so that the quality gets worse as you get further away from it.
or you can try lowering the dxlevel. such as mat_dxlevel 80 in console blah blah.....if it is an fps issue

He's saying it's so laggy it felt like he had 5000 ping..

Yeah, my ping is fine, but when im facing cells like in jail, i feel like i have 1 ping, but when i move and look at stuff, it laggs SUPER bad. Is there any way to upgrade my GPU by taking apart my laptop? :|
