I can't believe people use their desk for a mouse pad on their gaming rigs. I would rub the finish right off the desk!

Also, if anyone is worried about rubbing off the feet of their mice, I highly recommend Slick Surf replacement mouse feet. They are smooth, durable, and cheap. Plus he cuts them for your specific mouse. Good stuff.

Well my desk is actual wood so its kinda hard to rub off, and yeah im pretty OCD about my desk.

Hmm i cant believe no one has linked to the valve store. I have the DOD:S mousepad. its made by fragmat and has a smooth plastic that is still pliable as the surface. Check them out, they have CS, TF2, l4d and other 3 letter acronym game themed mousepads. http://store.valvesoftware.com/

All i have to say is MARBLE MOUSE

You move the ball, not the mouse.
dont have to worry about running the mouse into things, or running out of desk surface. or having to find/buy some silly mouse pad.
Its wonderful.

But since you've already got a mouse, refer to ducttapes post on page one.
My friend recently got that mouse pad and ive heard nothing but good things.
