L4D2 Banned In Australia.

So apparently, L4D2 has been banned in Australia due to violence, which i think is ridiculous compared to other games worse then L4D2 and are allowed in Australia.

There are lots of topics if you search on google about this. Here is an example of what i mean:

Some of the reasons l4d2 was banned are:
The game contains violence that is high in impact and is therefore unsuitable for persons aged under 18 to play.

It notes that this violence is ?inflicted upon ?the Infected? who are living humans infected with a rabies-like virus that causes them to act violently?.

The report singles out the use of melee weapons as those that ?inflict the most damage? and cause ?copious amounts of blood spray and splatter, decapitations and limb dismemberment.. or even cause intestines to spill from the wounds?.

As you can see l4d2 is alot more violent then the original l4d, yet there are games alot more violent and yet not banned like dead space, GTA or gears of war.

Sure, you guys may not mind because you guys get to have the game when its released, but I'm from Australia so i won't be able to play this game at all. Apparently you won't even be able to purchase it on STEAM if you live in Australia.

I am hoping that this will be unbanned in a few weeks and it will just move on...

Correct, but they have banned some things and then a month later they unbanned it. I am hoping they will do this for L4D2.

Probably be expensive, but the only thing I can think of is buying L4D2 from someone in a country that permits L4D2 via eBay then having it shipped to you in Australia? Or would it be recognized as a banned product?

It just doesn't make sense, if a game that acts out of violence just because of the fictional "undead" and 4 humans, compared to the "gang" "war" related games which are much more influential than a fictional "zombie" game, out of common sense it would be unreasonable, very unreasonable.

Australia probably wouldn't recognize it, but Steam will, they have your IP address and the IP address in Ausy is similar to other Ausys, meaning they BLOCK your Ausy IP. thus "banning" it.
