L4D2 Banned In Australia.

GTA isnt quite as violent as L4D2, but it has more sexual themes..... in GTA you cant blow someone to bits, in L4D2 you can see zombie go boom and see the chunks rain down. Nonetheless that sucks that they banned it in Austraila
 
"Yup, Valve's Zombie shooter has been refused classification, which means it can't be made commercially available in the country. Not quite the same as a banning, but it has the same effect."

I'm sure you could leave the country to download it and then go back to play it.
 
I just have to say this:

Don't worry. GTA: SA was banned in Canada for about 1 month then the ban was lifted. Just wait and it will most likely get lifted soon.
 
Hm, i wonder if you could have someone in the US make a account for you. Buy l4d2 on it then let you use that account, and you send them 50$ through paypal?

Im pretty sure what their going for here, is the fact that this is borderline discriminatory killing.
Their likening it to that of, if we started killing people with swine flu, since they just have a disease.

Other games mentioned like dead space, involve other worldy creatures, and are therefore okay.
All valve has to do is call them zombies and the case would be closed....

If the ban bit stays, i would be more than happy to send you a copy.
 
Thanks guys, I'm sure that when it comes out, i will ask someone here to purchase it and ill send them the money via Paypal. Hopefully the ban will be lifted however. I might wait a few months when it is released, as the price will drop a lot.

Except people with swine flu aren't brainless monsters who attack regular humans on sight.
 
Maverick, If the game is still banned in Australia after release, I will personally buy you a copy and ship it to you my friend. That's a bit of a pathetic reason to ban a game "because the people are technically alive."

Way to dig WAY too deep into the storyline just to satisfy your agenda vs video games. Players will not care if these polygonal characters are alive or dead, zombies are zombies. They all need killin' =P
