Hey this is BWoods from the TF2 division and I've just picked up DoD. Expect to see me in the servers with you guys soon. If there are any tips you can offer up I'd love to hear them. =D

Ammo is free, camping is not a successful survival technique, and cookiong off grenades is dangerous while chatting in Vent.

Enemy nades can also be used as a weapon. Pick them up and throw them back. Also start off with an sub machine gun. Helps you get use to the recoil of the weapons.

The rocket in this game doesn't fire off 4 rockets before you have to reload....i know you like the solider class in TF2. Experiment with the different classes to get a feel for what you might like.

tips? Deploy your MG so that nothing but walls are behind you, avoid the sniper rifles until you develop your shot, definitely start with an assault class, don't throw smoke at or around friendly sniper or MG nests, aim center-mass, always use sprint to escape sticky situations, relocate/shift angles or you'll catch a grenade while camping, and going prone is a great way to get naded so use sparingly. oh, and have fun!


Try out Kalt, the grenades can get out of hand but it's close-quarter and you're guaranteed some Assault kills :glare:

I advice,when in Donner never use the MG when you are near the tank,two things,might get shot by sniper or pinned down by another MG set-up.Anyways,welcome to the DOD Division

Why? oh ya btw if you're a good sniper in TF2,you can try out sniping with the Springfield,to me it is a good sniping rifle if you're a bigineer,btw don't use the German Sniper rifle too early,it was too hard for me to aim.Good Luck and again welcome to eGO DOD

DoD is a very difficult game to become proficient in, much less master. Unless you have a natural talent for it be prepared for at least a week of pain and frustration, it almost drove me mad.

If you try the BAR or the STG44 be mindful of their ferocious recoil. I like to aim center-mass and let the recoil walk it up the target a tad, I still try to counter it with the mouse. I prefer to fire them crouched or prone. If someone calls me a camper I just give em the old, "WOOT!" and shoot em again after they respawn.

hey welcome to DODs division.... advise start up with assault or support class(watch out for recoil) and move up the classes. try every map and learn them. Stop by in DOD vent channel to get some tips from the best.

If you have any of the 'running prone' or 'invisible player' unwelcome features, check this post out. By the way - when you've graduated to rifles, practice with the rifle grenades, they can be very, very useful!
