ok for those of you can figure this out. Aknightwhosaysni has helped me for then i could ever think possible and i thank you lots. but just for other people.

ok computer, will kinda lock up preventing me to close or start new programs.

i restart and it will not boot windows it will freeze and windows xp screen.
i restarted and tryed to reformat, got a error code '7' and missing or something AWD\64 or something like that
i restart it many more times and it booted windows normally
i ran a HD test and there are no bad sectors
and i have run virus and other programs so no worries on virus's (700 something) registry errors
then after this i have tryed to restart because it locked up.. again
then it would not boot windows or actually even get past the BIOS. i restarted and it did but i had a install disk for windows and it didnt allow me it said something about a corrrupt or missing install.txt file is missing for something like that.
then i proceeded to take a stick of RAM i have 8gb of 4X2gb sticks i took one out and it is in a anti static bag, and it booted up normally, and now i am here but it wont allow me to dual screen my 2 screens? but thats not a big deal at all...

anyone got there 2 cents to give?

Bad Windows install, corrupted possibly by the bad memory. Or your motherboard's on its way out.

FYI, when diagnosing, esp. with memory, pull all memory except for one stick. You can also burn a Memtest86+ boot CD to test all sticks or one at a time.

I agree with netmare, it sounds like the result of bad memory. You can run memtest without having to use a CD. There is an excellent windows version that was recommended to me over at another tech forum. link
You may have to let it run for several hours, but I'm betting you'll see errors pretty quickly. Test with the one stick removed and if you get no errors, replace that stick and test again.

i ran memtest 86+ for 22 hours had 13 passes and zero errors even tho i had all my 8gb pluged in

1. Motherboard on it's way out
2. Power supply faulty
3. Cheap memory

My thoughts exactly, but it sounds like he's already eliminated the memory.

Oh, by the way: even if it's just your power supply, if you leave the problem alone for too long it can skuzz your motherboard.

are you running a 64bit os? If so you might be missing the amd 64 folder.... which would basically take it to the processor.

this is from booting from Install CD

and i highly doubt that the Power source

so idk....so i might be my MOBO or CPU but again programs that tell you that your HDD or RAM is fine, cant really tell you if it is bad so it could still be my HDD or RAM but a low chance...
