Anyone ever have the problem where the sound icon in the taskbar disappears after restart? I always have to go to control panel>sound and disable then enable to show icon in taskbar? :confused1:

Go to Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices.

On the Volume tab, theres a checkbox that says "Place volume icon in the taskbar" make sure this is checked. If it is already checked, uncheck it, click apply, then recheck it, then click OK. The volume icon should be back in the systray now.

I wish it were thay easy. The post is saying that i have to do that every single time i restart my computer in order to adjust volume. i also checked the auto hide option in taskbar properties. That didnt work either :facewall:

If that route doesn't fix the issue, then the only other suggestion I'd have to make it easier for you is to create a stat menu shortcut/quick launch shortcut.

Happned to me once some time ago... ended up fixing it by removing my soundcard drivers, rebooting, and reinstalling them... That fixed it

Sorry for the late reply, this is what I was going to suggest next. Glad it resolved your issue.
