Time for new speakers

[torzak]

Hey everyone,
I think it is about time for some new speakers, I have had these 2 gateway speakers for 6 years now and I think im ready to upgrade. I am wanting a 2.1 speaker system for around $50, but not much more. If you have any suggestions please post.

I personally like either altec lansing or logitech speakers. They have some lower-powered ones for less than 50, but their mid-level 2.1 speakers both run 50-70 dollars. For pretty much all of their speakers, the sound quality is good. The more powerful ones will be sound better at higher volumes though.
