So, recently I just bought some new goodies for my rig and a laptop. The laptop hasn't arrive yet, because I ordered it from Dell. But here's a rundown of what I got.
Asus 25.5" 2MS Monitor
What can't I say about this monitor? It's amazing. Built in Speakers. HDMI Input, Component Input, Audio In and Out. As well as running at 1920x1200. It's just an amazing monitor. I couldn't ask for more, unless it could make coffee for me.
Sapphire Vapor-X 4870 2GB
So, this is a pretty big thing for me. I've been an NVIDIA fan boy for several years now, and this is my first ATI purchase. Going from a 9800 GTX to this is a pretty big step. This card is powerful. Although, it's like an inch or so shorter than the 9800. If you're looking to upgrade, this is an awesome card.
Hauppauge 2250 Dual TV Tuner
Not really an upgrade, but equally amazing. I mainly bought this so I didn't have to buy a new TV. I also wanted to play with MediaPortal, which is a free Media Center software. It's pretty amazing.
And the big purchase of the year...
I ordered a laptop from Dell. It's a Vostro 1720.
Dell has a Windows 7 upgrade program, so I'm going to go that road, because it's coming with Vista and an XP downgrade and I really want to try out Windows 7.
