I think of INS as a very complex game of chess.
This is most evident on small, well-known maps, where there are a finite number of moves, hiding places, vantage points, etc. And the only variation is in the timing of those moves. It's a closed system.
Even so, it is very challenging.
Just like chess. I'd call this an accurate analogy.
run and shoot like a crazy person... and camp like a lazy player
So, both then?
lol! hmm...looks like i'm the only defender here lol....no wonder no one likes to help me in Dust2 whenever B is under attack -_-'
Just you wait. My new motherboard is finally in the mail to me.
My tactic is shoot or be shot =)
Mine is similar, but I prefer the former to the latter.
However, when the point is under attack I am the first to fall back and clear it out. Those people on the point are breaking our lines and cutting off my supply of reinforcements, both of which are unacceptable.
Light 'em up like a christmas tree.
For me, offense or defense depends on:
1) Map
2) Team
3) Members of team
4) My squad position/weapon
Mostly, I like support/defense positions, and a SAW (M249 or RPK), because it allows me to get as close to a bird's eye view of the battle area and protect my own so they can capture objectives. That, and I don't like reloading. Thus...yay, high capacity magazines.
But I'll throw down with an M4 or 74 if I'm on a small team and I want to get some action (and stop some bullets)...
So the answer is: Both. Depends. Sometimes. What I feel like.
I won't deny that I get a certain satisfaction from camping where no one expects and lighting up some overconfident individual who thinks he's got a point all to himself...AND his backup.
Then running to find another good hidey hole.
Fun, fun, fun.
