Only 256-bit? Weak.

512-bit would've sold me on this card.

Yes, I'm that picky.

havent you seen benchmarks on these, one of them only preforms the same as the GTX295 imagine what 2,3, or 4 of them could, but still i will not get this card until the 300 series gets out and ill se which is better

Yea, it may only be 256 bit, but it uses GDDR5 memory which is much faster than the GDDR3 that NVIDIA's cards use. It ends up being equivalent (although the memory clocks on these cards are several hundred megahertz higher than on the cards that are equivalent, so it may well be faster)

GTX300 Series is going to rip this thing to bits. ATI made a dumb move by sending the first next-gen GPU out first.

There are also rumers about this:
Radeon HD 5870 X4 (Dual MCM, 800MHz Core, 2GB 1200MHz GDDR5) - $649
Radeon HD 5870 X2 (MCM, 800MHz Core, 1GB 1200MHz GDDR5) - $349
Radeon HD 5870 (800MHz Core, 512MB 1200MHz GDDR5) - $199
Radeon HD 5850 (600-650MHz Core, 512MB 1100MHz GDDR3) - $129"

no actually they weren't........they are getting a huge lead start on Nvidia first of all, could be bad, could be worse but in the end they are gonna have their cards out almost a half a year before Nvidia comes out with their GTX 300 series.

2nd of all, the GTX 300 will be faster than the 5850/5870 but they seemed to have one mistake from what i've heard.....they may not be able to manufacture a dual-chip card this time around because the DIE size is too large making the 5870x2 or a 5870x4 if that isn't a rumor the fastest cards on the market and staying the fastest cards on the market.

Don't be so quick to say that Nvidia is gonna be better.......hate fanboys.

you completely messed up your prices and a 5870x4 is highly unlikely.
The 5870x2 is going to be the dual-chip design and it will be in the $600 dollar range.......the 5870 is $380 so far, the 5850 is expected to be $300 but im gonna guess it will be $280 because they r usually $100 cheaper.

Not at all, these are the first cards to support DX 11, that alone will get a lot of attention. Plus the fact being this card will perform very good in crossfire...

okay but a 5870x4 seems very very impossible......ATI is barely capable of making the 5870x2 due to some constraints
Not trying to bash on you though lol :)

Hopefully the 5870x2 prices drop alot by the time i buy it

lol 5870x4 would be too pricey, and only hardcore enthusiasts would buy it. if it was even made. probably not though.
and i have a feeling that 5870x2's will be in the $500 price range.
