Time it takes to become an admin/ how to get considered to be added to the admin crew

Hey Fruitloop!

I did notice something that most likely held you back... I looked at your forum posts, and saw where you went over a year between posts. It looks like you were active in August and September of 2008... But then, your next post isn't until September of 2009.

If it seems like you've gone MIA on the forums (where we usually announce promotions) then quite often, we pull your name from the promo list, since you wouldn't notice it anyway if you don't come on the forums. Plus without being MAUL Verified, there's no way to give you admin rights should you be promoted anyway.


Things that hold e's back:
No forum activity for extended periods of time
Not seen in game
Not seen in Vent
Not MAUL Verified
Repeated warnings about language
Repeated warnings about attitude
Not having a proper application to eGO
Failure to change an improper or duplicate name


There are other reasons, and not all of these apply to you, Fruitloop. But please don't go MIA from the forum for over a year. It just seemed like you didn't bother with the forum for 12 months except to come back and ask why you're not an admin yet. Interact with the community, hang with us on Vent, and share some laughs with us. You'll get there quicker doing that than to hang back and be a lurker.

No. It does not mean that. However, Fluffy is implying that is it difficult to promote people who join and then go inactive for extended periods of time. Your admin would be automatically revoked by our MAUL admin system due to inactivity if you were an admin at this time. Activity is one of the things we look for to dole out admin. Just be active on the forums, use Ventrilo, and get to know people in the clan including Leadership. Those are some of the best ways to get yourself out there to be noticed for a potential promotion. And again, NEVER just ask for a promotion. That is the best way for you never to get one.
