Themes

Sup guys.

I'm curious, what would be some interesting themes/settings/whatever that you guys would like to see in a TF2 map? Space theme? Sci-fi theme? Etc...

I used to map a lot for CSS and stuff, haven't really messed around with Hammer for a while (kinda became a little bitter after a filesystem mishap where I lost all the maps I had made, thanks again Microsoft, hehe) but I think I'm gonna fiddle around with it in between recording music & sound effects and photoshop and after effects and everything else i do, start making some TF2 maps. I have a few ideas already for maps to make so I can make use of some of the custom textures and animated sprites I've made for a few map themes I have in mind, but I wanted to see how the rest of my eGO brethren felt about the whole thing, see what kinda maps you guys might be interested in seeing. So, that being said, if anyone has any thoughts they might wish to share, feel free... maybe I can crank out a couple new maps exclusive for eGO that we can all enjoy, at least on the Fun Server for special events if not the public ones. Let me know what you think.

I would like to see a a mountain theme, a payload race up and through the mountain. You would race to the top while going through tunnels and racing.

In my opinion I would like to see a map like CTF sawmill turn into a CP map. That map is awesome for spies main reason is all the ways you can climb on stuff and take shortcuts to flank your enemy. I also love the weather type for that map, it gives it an ominous feel as if someone is going to die

Sci-fi theme ftw! I love maps like cyberpunk and others that take place in god knows were!

Personally, I love beach and snow themes, and they're probably two of the most underused in TF2 maps. I'd absolutely fall in love with you if you could produce something like those.

Night variations of maps are also a nice change too--maybe with at least a couple tweaks with the map structures.
