what items closest to you will you use to defend yourself? And if you answer with "im gonna stay indoors and wait until it all heels over" then you're wrong.

I myself have a thick stick that can easily KO some zombies out, and maybe take out a few with two dual wielding knives(think Planet Terror) and a hatchet in my garage. I also know a cool gun shop close by so maybe I'll fight my way there

.50 is too big for a mass of them. That's for long-distance select targets. You need something that fires more rapidly and has stopping power. Automatics just chew ammo pointlessly. I'd recommend a good pump shotty or semi-auto 7.62 x 51mm. Some might favor the 5.56 x 45 mm, but come on, these are zombies.

Use a shotgun to get to an airfield or something like that. Fuel up a chopper and get to high easily defendable point.
