im in the all-girls clan PMS (Pandora's Mighty Soldiers), when i first joined PMS, i couldnt take the name Sakura (there's couple of girls have the name), so i decided to take Shinigami.
i got Shinigami from Bleach and Death Note (but i <3 Bleach lol o.o). (i dont mind being called Shin, Shini, Soul Reaper, or Death God)

I just saw that you commented last... and I was honestly scared to click this thread.
My name dates back to 'a certain' channel on the IRC network Undernet. I don't remember what led up to it, but we all reached an agreement that in the near future, a nuclear strike will wipe out most of humanity and animal life. The only survivors would be goths and cockroaches, and eventually the two species would intermingle, creating a new breed of... Gothroaches!

Multiple reasons. I have used this as my SN for almost everything ever since I was in grade six or so. Back then, I liked two local DJs from a radio station (also did shows at clubs which I obviously never saw, but they aired live on the radio). This was back when everything I listened to was rap/hip hop, and that's what the two mostly played. Their stage names are Flipout and Jayswing. I kind of averaged it.
When I first started on the internet, I was at the age where my parents told me never to give out my name on the internet. I chose Jay. People who have known me ever since then only found out my real name within the last year, actually. (It's Jared). I am a traceur, and have been for awhile. I wasn't back then, but I was interested in it back then. Simply put, a traceur is somebody who trains in Parkour. A free-runner does the same thing, but with flips and such. (If you're confused, look it up). I got Jay and Flip that way too.
My initials are JJ. If for some odd reason you want to know my last name, you can PM me. My alias before grade 6 was Jay Squared, symbolized by J?, due to double J as my initials. I wanted to somehow keep a symbol like that, and ended up taking two J's and putting them together, but flipping one. I ended up with this.
It worked perfectly. A J, and a J, flipped.
Ever since then, JayFlip has been my identity.
