Wow, it's half and half. I was expecting more of you to lean towards TF2, so I'm actually impressed.

I played TFC right when it came out and became an admin on the Barge of the Dead servers. I then anxiously awaited the arrival of the TF2 that never came to be (the military style one).
ROFL! Holy carp. TF2 - Brothers in Arms. Screenshots and everything. Became vaporware like Duke Nukem Forever and Battletoads 2. It was the rumored existence of TF2 what got me to buy the Orange Box.

Takes one to know one, Kansasboy. ;)

ah.... TFC... the good'ol days :D

Use to play TFC all the time... then started playing another mod called Fire Arms... that was entertaining.....

Nope. I'd never even heard of Team Fortress, Half Life or any other Valve product until Summer 2007 when I found out about the upcoming orange box.

In TFC, everything was on fire, everything was exploding, and medics were the bane of my existence. Oh, I miss those days...oh wait.

I rember playing TFC. It was one of the best games I've ever played

im suprised how many people play tfc before because i remember a road trip to FF and everyone hated me because i was the olny one who could bhop or conc jump.

and i do still play some tfc in pickups and a lot of conc maps

and also i do remeber thinking that tf2 was vapourware also

Yes.

I played TFC a bit, but never played online. I mainly played LAN games with others.

I played competitively with TFC for the most part, that was such a different game with all the grenades and stuff in it, man oh man am i glad that TF2 came out.

How can any self respecting video gamer admit they didn't know what Half-Life was until Orange Box!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Also, those jumping videos are surprisingly transfixing with that music.

I knew what it was, but unfotunately I havent gotten a chance to play it yet.

If someone would like to Gift it too me though.....;)

Yeah, I played it almost religiously. I was a senior member of the AC6 clan, before we disbanded.

I used to love the medic then, heal your teammates and disease the enemy with the same med-pack. EVERYONE had grenades. I used to drop them off the battlements in 2fort while sniping, if I missed someone coming over the bridge (in TFC there was no roof, so sniping was easier on the bridge). Sniping was a little more difficult as you had to hold the left button down to charge the shot and keep it down until you wanted to fire. I can't count how many finger cramps I got from that. :)

Pyro had the napalm rocket launcher, always causing problems.

I still like the feature of when you picked up an ammo pack, it only restocked you with what you needed and you could drop it for another teammate, usually the engineer, to use.

I stopped playing it because most of the servers were loaded with bots, and the fun wore off of killing bots. I could do it myself on my own server if I wanted to do that.

Oooh that brings me back.

Played TFC for quite a while beyond its prime, largely owing to a rather terrible computer. Terrible at the game to be honest, most of the time I ran Pyro. Napalm grenades and Napalm launcher *sigh.

I don't miss it too bad, but the sheer annoyance value of being able to light people on fire from extreme distances was such a joy.

Yep , i played TFC when it first came out. Then i waited the countless centuries for TF2 to be released lol.

I never heard of it before TF2, that may come off as sad, but it's true : [

I played Half-Life, but never tried out TFC. I was in my own little kiddo world back then. :p
