When I load TF2, my mic works fine for like 10 minutes then it's gets really staticy.

My Microphone Boost is set to 0 in my Windows Sounds. The one in TF2 re-enables itself when I turn it off.

My DxDiag : [ame]http://pastebin.com/f6a6c446a[/ame]

I really don't feel like having to type everything. Please help em fix :( Windows Voice Recorder records my voice crystal clear.

Do you have Windows?
If so then check Control Panel and Sounds and Microphones.
One time my mic didn't work fully but after adjusting volume and looking at all of the options I got my mic to work.

Sorry if this is no help :P

You might have a massive amount of gain set, which can increase the volume of background sounds which cause static.

Personally I think your issue is with Windows 7 RC. Its still testing material and is not a major concern to company's who provide tech support to even offer support for Windows 7(any version). They will start to care Oct 22 however.

Most resent drivers for sound card installed?
Does mic work in a different computer and doesn't act up after 10+ mins of usage?
Have you used steam to adjust the volume?

I have the latest Drivers.

I have no other computer to test it on, but like I said it works fine in other programs and windows sound recorder records me perfectly.

No, I'll try it, but I thought the Steam Mic settings were only for voice in Steam chats.

I don't think it's Windows 7 RC< but I can't say that for 100%, I didn't have any problems with my previous mic on Windows 7 Beta, it was a built in mic in my old laptop.

Nuthing to do with RC. RC is not a beta. I have a the windows pro RTM= release to manufacturing and everything works fine just make sure you dont have to much mic boost in win 7 and if do undo it until you find the sweet spot and maybe turn of micboost in tf2 in the settings

I put my Mic Boost in Win7 to 0, and it's impossible for me to turn off the TF2 Mic Boost, it always re-enables itself.

I have the same problem myself. The problem is that there is no way to turn off the mic boost. As soon as you do, it re-enables itself. Yes, it does. It's not windows or anything else, there's something wrong with valve games.
