Hello,

I've been trying to re-install BF2 after re formating my PC and it seems like every time I try it wont let me patch up from 1.41.
It says "Patch Failed" before I am done

Specs:
Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit
AMD Phenom II X4 955 processor
6 GB of RAM
Geforce GTX 275
And about 150 GB free on my HD

IF you need more Info just ask. I just want to play BF2 and PR

Yes, and I;ve tried to manully update, and I can get to 1.3 or so and it fails

do you use EA down loader? and try updating it to 1.5

Are you sure it'll work on a 64 bit . If none of those work try a 32 bit or a 128 bit

hmm I have EA downloader.. Its for buying games? OR atleast I cant find hwo to patch it.

Try going to the eagames site and going to downloads/patches if that doesn't worrk sorry

i usually went to fileplanet.com when i updated bf2

Make sure your doing it as administrator. Also the game when you install says it is not tested on the current OS but it works just fine. I have played it on my rig. I usually get my patches from filefront cause fileplanet you don't always get the max speed unless your a subscriber which isn't free.

Boot the game up and in the lower right hand or upper right hand corner should tell you what version you are on.

Make sure you have the right patch.Some are designed for going from 1.3 to 1.41 and so on. If you do have the right one and still doesn't work try doing each patch. Maybe long and tedious but you might end up finally getting it up to date.

yes it might be problmes with administrator stuff in vista, download the patch if u dont have it already right click the patch and click run as administrator, sometimes vista blockes installs that try to connect to the internet or somthing

Also if you are going to update to 1.5

Update to 1.41 first

Also dont forget the patch for the 1.5 patch
