Just saw Saw 4, it was different in a sort of good way. be forewarned you must watch Saw 1-3 and have them in recent memory to get Saw 4 at all.

The Saw series may very well be one of the greatest on the planet, the first three were absolutely wonderful --- and the only movies to come out in any recent times to competely knock me off my feet with the magnitude of their ideas. It is VERY far from "blood and gore" and that's it, like Hostel. Hostel sucked, Saw is so much more.
Anyone who knows anything about the Saw films, and has taken the time to do some reading on the fourth will know that they're not just "milking" all the money they can from the series, there is more Saw because they're able to continue the brilliance, and answer a lot of questions that weren't answered in the previous films.
I'll be seeing it this weekend at least once.

I'm not gonna bother with Saw IV. The original Saw is one of my favourite movies, but I did not care for Saw II and III [though if I had to pick, I liked III slightly better] but I think that Saw IV will just be downright horrible. Saw III pretty much cemented the story, and as much as I disliked it, I don't think Saw IV is going to do anything at all for me.

I have no interest in saw 4.
Saw 1 was amazing, the fact that it had your head spinning over who this man was. Starting to tell an intriguing story of a psychopath who likes to deal to his victims as they have dealt with life. (Tying the killing to how the person lives.) It was intense, it was suspenseful, and well, it was gory!
Saw 2... well... was probably the worst 2 hours of my life, not only did it turn Jigsaw into a blubbering idiot, he got a sidekick. For god's sake, why on EARTH would he get a sidekick. Not only that, but none of the deaths were associated with the Victim's lifestyle.
Saw 3, made up for some of Saw 2's embarrassments. However, some was the key word in the previous sentence. It didn't do any justice to the series as it has all been done before.
Saw 4 looks awful.
None of them are really "horror" movies at all, they are bloody movies. Violence in movies is fantastic, but when it's backed up by nothing it's a terrible idea. Imagine a war movie where we don't know the war, we don't know the sides, and all we can see is a scene where both sides are fighting for apparently no reason at all.
My Rating of the Saw Series gets a 3/10. The only reason it's that high is because the first one was so amazing. The only "horror" movie series to score lower than this is Final Destination. Which got a whopping -10/10. Any movie where one of the main character's name is Kimberly can't be good.
