cs:s Dust 2 Server Lag

personally it's by far my favorite server and i play it almost everyday multiple times a day. but when the server filles to about 18v18+ it just gets disgusting with lag and lag spikes, makes it almost impossible to play at spawn and when your computer catches up you've already died while frozen.. now i've hear e rank and eg rank members tell me "it's alright you'll just learn to play with it" and i have been. but i'd just like to see something done about it, maybe upgrade the bandwith? i haven't played cs:s long enough to know all the technical aspects but i believe i speak for everyone when i say i hope this gets fixed because it's easily my favorite server. also, i forgot to add.. i have a fully upgraded gaming laptop/high speed connection and still experience lag*

its the server. its known and won't go away
dust2/office/jail our busiest servers are all on the same box. when they are all full there will be lag (on all servers mind you). can't be helped, don't worry bout it.
it isn't even that bad, its like a 5-10 second lag at the beginning...only on extreme cases will it lag in the middle of a round, stopping a T rush or something...if there is like 22 ppl on each team. just hope as a ct the ts don't rush down mid and kill you in spawn, or if you're a T hope you're not sitting in the middle where you can get sniped

As you said about the members telling you, you just get used to it lol. Or you can be like me and switch to high school lol. But in all reality i love the D2 server, and yes it is a pain, but you just get used to it

JunK it's practically impossible as a T to rush into CT spawn. You will lag-out at mid-doors almost guaranteed if you rush when you don't lag. I wouldn't call 30 seconds of lag "not that bad" either... but that's just my opinion.

To the OP: Yea it's a known problem... You just have to deal with it. If it annoys you that much, find a secondary server to play at. I've got 2 or 3 servers to go to once this happens, because I simply can't stand this. Just create a solution to your problem... whining about it obviously isn't going to fix it, as everyone has done that already.

It almost seems like a memory leak in one of the addons that was installed. Either way, the eGO Counter Srike Servers provide you with good people to play with and in my book that's a win right there.

we have had many threads about the lag. just deal with it. we have 4 servers on 1 box. thats the reason.
