not many games like runescape where it is online with other players like that...just go on some mini games website, type free online "blank" games (blank= plug in the type of game you wanna play...ex:shooting, strategic....) thats what i do sometimes

if you are looking for small mini games you can always google the word "FREE FLASH GAMES" .. thousands will pop up, from puzzles to action to sports etc etc.

one cool game is BLACKHAWK STRIKER 2 .. the demo is 1 level.. and it is addictive.. after playing the demo you will crave the real game for $10 USD. It's really great.

Going along with the runescape theme, i would search google for something like "Free RPG's" and a large amount will come up. Most of them are downloadable. I think one was like silkroad online if i remember correctly.
