MSI Rolls out i7 in Laptop!

I always knew those guys were cool :D I'm more of an AMD fan because I'm cheap, but I would love to have one of those if I had the money. Good processors ftw.

Dell has also released there I7 line of laptops about a week or 2 ago, too bad I just bought a laptop.

Thats not bad, 2.0GHz a bit slow but then it is a power hog of a CPU so it balances out to where it can be powerful but EE as can be.

I think the Alienware laptops with the intel core 2 extreme processors @2.53GHz are better, I dont see the advantage of an I7 if its clocked so low.

They have a turbo mode... but its really just a low frequency quad core

well from benchmarks, even the older low clocked quad cores at 2.0ghz beat the duo cores in the laptops which were clocked at like 2.5ghz.
Plus in these new i7 ones, intel is using their special turbo mode and allowing almost all the i7 quad cores get clocked upto 3.0ghz or up, something around that. I think it disables some cores though when it goes into turbo mode from what i remember reading so it can achieve such a high clock. But it performs better i believe, not 100% sure though since i havn't really read any benchmarks on it yet
