"Just over a week after AMD unleashed its powerful ATI Radeon HD 5870 to the world and subsequently the 5850, a forum member at Mymypc.com has posted several images and benchmark numbers of the upcoming HD 5750. Codenamed Juniper LE, this is AMD?s first mainstream graphics processor in the ATI Radeon HD 5000 family and is reportedly set to replace the once high-end Radeon HD 4870 with a $150 price tag.

The alleged reference model has a relatively short board and sports a dual-slot design with a teardrop-shaped cooling system slapped on it. Like the 5800 series, it features DirectX 11 support, GDDR5 memory (but on a 128-bit bus and clocked at 1150MHz), and the same port arrangement ? two DVI, one DisplayPort, and one HDMI. The card is also equipped with 1120 stream processors and a 700MHz core clock, according to GPU-Z.

In terms of performance, the new Radeon HD 5750 manages to beat both the HD 4850 and the GTS 250 when running 3DMark06 and 3DMark Vantage?s synthetic tests ? although by small margins. We?ll of course have to reserve judgment until we can put this card to the test in real-world scenarios, but it seems the Radeon HD 5750 could give Nvidia?s GeForce GTS 250 a run for its money when it launches (presumably) later this month."

Of course, this gets released a month or so after I got a 4870 :D. Oh well, I had to get a graphics card, mine quit... I knew I should have waited, but now I can get the 5750 somewhere down the line and pop the 4870 in my other computer :P.

Save your bucks, it doesn't look faster than the 4870, possible slower.

Mmm, after reading the article more, I agree. I'm mostly interested in four monitor support, but I guess I could just add a 4850 or something.

The GTS 250 isn't even that great of card, like nearly all OEM cards so I don't think it's worth competing with it. I do like the idea that they're targeting piss poor gamers but I really wouldn't mind coughing up another $200 for a 5870. They're usually worth it in the long run.

lol, i just bought the Sapphire HD 4870 1GB DDR5... good enough for me anyway, dont need that 5750. :P

I need to start posting more, this was news to me 2 days ago :) MOAR PICS :

Yeah, this card should be on par with a GTX 260 or HD 4870.
No problem for you.

The HD 5770 which I suspected should be a OC'ed version of this or some minor changes? (CHANGE THE MEMORY BUS ATI/AMD)

keep in mind dx11 apparently will up performance and thus you will not need as much graphical punch, and being a dx11 card for only 150 bucks...damn thats crazy. so sure a 4870 might be a tad better than this on every game up until dx11, but once they start releasing those games im sure this will be a hell of a competitor purely because of its low price tag
instead of having nothing in your lineup except massive huge hitters that cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars, AMD is making the new technology affordable to all right now.
Will it pay off for them?? Well it depends how you look at it, when are dx11 games really going to start hitting the market? Well i'd say probably in and around when nvidia releases their cards

It`s 128 bit actually lol, still kicks butt though.
Remember this is GDDR5 at 700 MHz we are talking about.

I got Gygabyte Nvideo 9500 GT, 512 MB DDR3 and Fell good in new games .:)
