antivirus recommendations!

Well, I dont know if i spelled it right or not, But i need a AV

i need your help on deciding what one to have

Free or paid doesnt matter to me Just make sure it's cheap.

I've Tired Microsoft microsoft security essentials

But now i have Nod32 4 Anti Virus.

So post them here!!

AVG is pretty good for a free one.

Kaspersky is pretty expensive and has been known to be buggy. I once had that and it locked up my ethernet drivers, I wound up having to format.

What Killzone said. Kaspersky is an amazing antivirus program. But if you don't want to spend money Avira AntiVir and a Malwarebytes would be a good combination. AVG Free is great too.

I have NOD32 and I am very happy. I might renew subscription this coming November. A friend of mine showed me Panda which gets me 3 subs for the same renew price for one NOD32. We have been testing it in class for the last few weeks and works great.

Trust Capt.America he knows what he is taking about.



I use the same set up and it works great.

Both are free and both have real time protection which is a must.

Some people have had problems with AVG interfering with steam games. This may be an old issue but it is listed on the steam support page of know programs that may cause problems. But AVG does work well for a lot of folks.

I would go with Avast though.

I agree with everyone on AVG. Been using it for awhile now and haven't had any problems.

As for a good anti-spyware program, I ran into Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and I love it.

Norton was good at first, then it became a ram eating machine and finally today they have made a almost perfect product that you do not notice working in the background.

Today, Id choose Norton.
