Recently i have found, caught, and deleted a spyware that came with the download of ventrillo that tracked all credit card transactions. this brings up serious trust issues with Ventrillo and possibly EGO its self. if anyone would explain this to me it would be great.

1. eGO did not make Ventrilo
2. Maybe Ventrilo didn't install the spyware, another program did.

A LOT of the really good (as in hardest to get rid of) spyware actually attaches to other exe programs, which make them hard to get rid of... of course they usually attach to needed system files that you can't just delete or you can't stop from running.

Where did you download Ventrillo from? If you downloaded it off of a sight other then the official Ventrillo site than who knows what that third party site has attached to the original program.

hey man let me start this post by saying that the people behind ventilo would NEVER put spyware in the program, nor would the edgegamers. However if you downloaded the program from anywhere else than the ventrilo home page"www.ventrilo.com" there is a chance someone might have infected the file with spyware then posting it to his/her page. by the way, somethimes the anitvirus program may be over sensitive for PUP(Possible unwanted programs) and if you have more than one anti virus program the chance of getting virus vastly increases... i can guarantee you that the admins here are 100% reliable
and there is absolutley no reason for making doubts about edgegamers.

what you'r financial transactions regards i think you should consault your bank to find out if any money has been removed, and you should do so quickly, if necesary make sure the bank account gets temporarly closed.

i hope you will reconcidering doubting edgegamers and stay on the forum/servers...

best regards.
