I just put my old motherboard back into my new media PC just to reuse it. I am having problems with the USB ports built onto the motherboard and the ports on the front of the case. Whenever I boot up my PC and have a device plugged into the port the system will not boot. It wont even detect the CD drives and HD and the keyboard will lockup. The keyboard is plugged into the PS2 or whatever not the USBs. To boot up my PC i have to disconnect the USB devices and then reconnect them later when im already inside windows. Im not sure what is going on. I am pretty sure its my motherboard but why they only work when windows is running and why they lock up and prohibit the boot up is beyond my knowledge. Any ideas?

MSI K8n Neo3 motherboard.

Also all of the drivers are up to date and current. Im not sure what else to do but call MSI and get their help

hmm interesting... only thing i can think of is the input devises r conflicting with the os during boot up.. maybe make sure u have all software for the input devices installed and up to date.. i seem to recall something similar happening to me but i dont remember exactly what.. if i do ill post.

Right now the keyboard is using a PS2 plug in and the only USB device plugged in is the Mouse and sometimes a USB Flash. The Boot sequence in the BIOS doesnt have USB in the order but I will check the boot menu when i get home.
