Never tried reading Gintama or HxH, would you recommend them? If so why.

Manga is like comics,but mangas are Japanese comics,they draw the characters nice (Especially the girl characters) Normally,you read it opposite as how you normally read it.

She's from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. A manga and an anime.

Told ya lol. Honestly though, it depends on what type of manga you read. Some of them can be boring and not suited for certain people.
Gintama is an action comedy essentially in the present day Japan, only there are aliens. The main character is a lazy, hypoglocemic, naturally-wavy haired, 20 year old. Its good for laughs and I personally like it.
HxH is more action and logical oriented, with its own type of super energy thing (Nen in this case) and follows a 12 year old who can kick butt pretty bad. I like it as well.
As was posted earlier, try out OneManga if you want to sample them, and tell me if you like them.
+1 Absolutely an must read, it is entertaining!
Anyway besides that, I was wondering if you guys read online or buy it?
Glad you like it. Both of them are really affected by the whole, when they're first started the drawings are weird, but they look more natural and better once it picks up steam and gets farther in (I'm on volume 25 right now (I buy them)).

Don't forget the original novels! I'm reading the first novel now, actually. It's pretty amazing! The anime's awesome as well, but I haven't read the manga of it at all.
Well, my favorite manga, in no particular order:
Yotsubato! -- If you don't love this series, it's only because you haven't read any of it yet!
Boku no Futatsu no Tsubasa --It's not an erotic manga, but it's focus is on a set of genetalia...Very hard to explain, so I won't even try. A coming of age story.
Hot Gimmick -- This manga convinced a female friend that rape was romantic for a brief period of time. Not really related to much, but a very strange and interesting fact none-the-less. I actually really love this manga for the side-story!
Dragon Ball Z -- Far superior to the anime, and the art is STILL top notch. A classic if there ever was one.
Yakitate Japan -- A boys quest to make bread. I mean, literally make bread. Very unique, great characters.
Saint Young Men -- Buddha and Jesus, on vacation from the afterlife, hang out in Japan. (Jesus is fawned over by high-school girls who think he looks like Johnny Depp, and they go to Disneyworld: Japan.)
Neon Genesis Evangelion (the original '95 serial manga, released very limited in the states) -- The anime is AWESOME, but I actually prefer the manga. The psychological elements are more real; you feel as if you'd be doing the same if you were them (except for maybe Gendo...)
FLCL -- I know a lot of people don't care for it, but I love it. Very stylized, and the second volume is complete non-sense that somehow appeals to me.
Love Hina -- Pretty much sets the bar for all other harem manga.
Read or Die -- Best. Superpower. Evar!
