Error steam id

Today i noticed that whenever I tried to connect to ava, kalt, and donner a little box would come up and say error verifying user steam id or something like that. I'm not sure what the problem is since i can still get on the orange maps and strand. Any ideas about what the problem is?

just log out and then log back in to steam - this should fix your problem, it happens to everyone eventually.
Note: that exiting steam and loging back in (for some strange reason) is not the same as clicking the "log out" menu button and logging back in.
