I don't feel like summarizing, so I'll just copy-paste the article:

"A Swedish teen, aged 18, has allegedly stabbed a 15-year-old girl during a rage, after a faulty internet connection left him unable to play Starcraft online.

On 9th August, the teen became furious when his internet connection ceased to work and left him unable to play Starcraft online. In his frustrated rage, he stormed out onto the street with a kitchen knife and attacked a girl who was walking by. The girl's multiple stab injuries were non-fatal.

The angry teen has been sentenced to psychiatric care. As the teenager's psychiatric state was not sound at the time, the attack has been classed as attempted manslaughter, as the teen had no intention of murdering the girl when he had left his house."

There're a lot of deaths and assaults associated with WoW as well, perhaps blizzard is up to something the their programming...

Starcraft can get pretty addicting. I love that game, but I would never be that upset if my internet went down. In fact, my internet goes down all the time. -.-'

man all games get me in a rage, though i wouldnt go as far as to stab a little girl walking by... id rather do it to whom im losing too lol

I feel bad for the girl. Out for a walk on what i assume was a beautiful day and some guy runs out of his house screaming about pylons and stabs you.
What a bad day.

I don"t think it was the game who triggered him but rather the fact that something went against him(in this case: went wrong) and he"d already have a bad day. So he just basically snaped.

Video games cause real life violence....
everyone knows that.
