I'm considering buying a Novint Falcon with Pistol Grip but I'm not sure how to go about it yet. First of all I live in Canada so I doubt there are any retail stores that will have it. Second, whenever I go to the Novint site it says it is sold out. I check it a lot but seeing as it doesn't seem to change I've put off getting one.

Basically I'm asking about what options I have for getting a Novint Falcon if its even at all possible at the moment. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Hey izPhil, you can get one on our site right now, and we ship to Canada.

thx, tomnovint

Im pretty sure eGO gets discount too on the Novint falcon so you might wanna find the discount code or something.........and yea the novint falcon isn't sold out, just went on site and saw it, both the white and black color versions

Edit:

I just finished purchasing a Novint Falcon complete package with pistol grip! Oh man I can't wait until it gets here. Thanks for the support you guys.

I'm sure I'll enjoy your product a lot Tom. Thank you. :)

I hope you factored in the UPS charge for them putting your packages through customs; they charged me $80 total. $60 for the Falcon box and $20 for the Pistol grip box.

$20 customs processing charge for a $20 item... it kinda sucked. Maybe try and get Novint to send it USPS instead.

Whats this you are talking about? Are you saying you got charged more for shipping stuff after you bought it from the site? Is this money that hasn't been added the the final price I paid?

Hey izPhil, welcome to the Falcon family! Let me know what you think when you get it, and anything I can do to make your experience a good one.

The fee giraffe is taking about it vat, I believe. There are customs charges for international shipping (i.e., it is not a Novint charge). This fee is there even in retail, in essence - any distributors in Europe that we use get charged taxes on Falcons, and that ultimately goes into the end price for customers. One thing we're doing now to help is we put the pistol grip into the Falcon box now, so it is one less shipping charge and one less tax expense.

thx, tomnovint

Hey Tom,

If Novint did offer a USPS option for shipping it would save buyers a lot of money. USPS/Canada Post will only charge a $5 customs handling fee opposed to the outrageous brokerage fees that couriers will charge. It may leave you with some happier customers. Just my $0.02 on international shipping.

P.S. Here's a link to the very well hidden UPS brokerage fees.

Ok thanks for the info. Just to be clear though, these are fees I have to pay when I get my Falcon correct? I'm just making sure.

thanks Metro - we actually do use USPS for international shipping - it is hundreds of dollars cheaper. Appreciate the post

izPhil, yes, you pay them when you receive your Falcon

thanks, tomnovint
