Hey my name is XavierU I belong to CS:S divson. And I was just wondering if eGO is going to have any other divisions. For example a Left For Dead Divsion or somethign else. Just need asimple answer?

new divisions in the future are up to the discretion of the council, but as far as a left 4 dead division goes the answer is pretty solidly no I think.

What is the reason behind not having a L4D division? just curious

Operation Flashpoint division sounds like a solid idea. Tactical eGO madness!

L4D = NO.
reason = four man servers are a no-no

anything else = talk to council
reason = not a one of us knows

From an unofficial standpoint, I do not believe there are any plans for a new division in the foreseeable future. We're losing a box, and with Winter coming, I think it's safe to say we probably won't be getting any new servers and definitely no divisions.

Again, not an official viewpoint, but from what I heard I can assume this to be the case. Although who knows, if eGO continues to grow, we very well could expand!

Along with L4D, I remember hearing a lot of issues with admin capabilities in that game. And it really just didn't fit what we've had for the past 3 years.

In my opinion,if we have new divisions, it means new servers,new servers means more expenses,then there has to be more admins for the servers. Jst my opinion as an =(e)=

yes it's up to council members but hey you can set a l4d server up to 24 slots - versus.

Council has already said that there will not be any more divisions for the time being unless its absolutely necessary. We do not have the resources at the moment.

What about Borderland? It's somewhat similar to the four man servers L4D would have though.

This has come up many times before, and the answer is always the same, as featherfoot07, J-Wall, and Beta put it:

Council will determine when it is time for expansion, and when that happens, you'll know.

There is no point to purchasing L4D servers to have a six-man game when other games support 16v16 play; the cost doesn't justify the return, and we want to run servers for our own divisions, rather than just go out and support another game for a long period of time without getting a group of admins together to run it.

I'm going to close this to prevent the expected "What about _______?" posts that tend to follow this question.
