Well, when i try to connect to a =(eGO)= dust2 server It closes the game with NO error message. It also screws my screen so only a quarter of my screen shows and the rest is all black. I fix it by opening something and drag it around to clear up the black spaces.

When i try to connect to a random other server, it works. When i try to connect to another random server that has the map dust2 on, it works.

This is really confusing, hope this can be fixed.

Have you tried connecting to any other Edge Gamers servers? What happens when you do?

For now I might try deleting (to the recycle bin, restore if need be) your dust2 map file to force your computer to re-download the map.

Try right-clicking Insurgency >> properties >> Local Files Tab >> Defragment cache files.

Are your video drivers up to date? Have you tried right-clicking insurgency >> properties >> Local Files Tab >> Verify Integrity of Game Cache?

If that doesn't work, maybe try deleting your local game files for insurgency and re-downloading Insurgency.
(Right-click Insurgency, click Delete Local Game Content)

I'm just kinda shooting in the dark here.

Tried it all and it didn't change a thing. And with ANY =(eGO)= server it does the same thing.

Gonna try to uninstall it and reinstall it.

Nothing. It still does the exact same thing.

But for some reason, my brother can play on the same server on the same computer but on a different steam account...

K before going into game at the main menu, turn off all game sounds. and if that wont work verify and defrag game cache/files. if these dont work, try re-installing INS. and if that fails, send me a Pm via website or steam. ive got a few more tricks. (you can add me to your friends using the link in my Sig.)

It sounds like you have a setting issue somewhere inside the insurgency folder. When you reinstalled Insurgency, did you delete the Insurgency folder inside your Steam folder?

Either way, to save reinstalling Insurgency again, try: (Make sure Insurgency is closed)
  1. Renaming Insurgency's 'cfg' folder to 'cfgold'
  2. It can be found: \Steam\steamapps\<your username>\insurgency\insurgency\

From there, open Insurgency again. Does it do anything different?

Barring that, rename your Insurgency folder at: Steam\steamapps\<your username>\insurgency\ to something like 'insurgencyold'

Then, copy your brother's insurgency folder at: Steam\steamapps\<your brother's username>\insurgency\ and paste it inside Steam\steamapps\<your username>\

If that doesn't fix it... its an issue associated with your account, higher up.
