it wont start up on my computer,
i go to launch and i get this message :
d3dx9_39.dll is missing from your computer
and so i read the readme file, and my graphics card (HD 4650) was not up there on the supported GPU list.
does that mean i cant play the game or do i need to get said .dll file?

I think you need to update your DirectX.

I dont have his problem. I have a general game bug. I am playing on the 6th mission where you play as an SF team leader assaulting an oil refinery. It says the other team will do a diversion yet they either stay where they are or they go to the beach and do doughnuts. So I am stuck on this mission. I blow up the generator and kill all the guards but since the diversion didnt start technically the mission never began.

Download www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_39 and put it in your C:\Windows\System32 folder. See if that works.

It also might be a good idea to update your directx.

Tempest,

Either you have been having some very bad luck lately or you could have a virus of some sort. I would suggest scanning your computer with your antivirus software and also using Spybot Search and Destroy to see if you find anything strange.

If your scans are up to date, then I am sorry for your bad luck.

just some bad luck.
my computer scans daily so i am sure that i have no viruses,
its just (I think) Windows 7 RC troubles.

Something similar happened to me a long time ago, I don't even remember which game I was trying to play. d3dx9 belongs to DirectX. You can try replace the .dll, but in my case, it just popped up with a different d3..... file missing. I installed a newer version of DirectX and it solved the problem.

That's the site to download and reinstall DirectX. Once you reinstall everything should be good to go .

updated DirectX and it works fine now.
amazing game, i recommend it.
