Hey Everyone,
I'm and old pc guy and I've been working on PC's since the awesome little IBM AT machine.

I've got A+ certification and a degree in Computer Science and quite a bit of free time, especially later at night.

I'm willing to help anyone that needs some help so just throwing my hat in the ring and offering my services and assistance, if nothing else to to confer with other techs and help us help each other, help you.

I'm kinda digging this community thing, this is a great idea and I would be very happy to be a part of it. So please add me to your list of Tech support guys.

:cursing: steam will not play at all.....it will open to the servers list but refuses to connect to eGo or any other games....I am eGO152 btw, just so you know im in the clan, any help would be appreciated.....its a dell machine, win 7 home, mse, my hp at the shop gives me kno problems.....please help...Rob ty

Any error message? Any idea if the connection is a problem server or client side? A little bit more information regarding the specific type of connection would help :biggrin:

go into your Steam folder and delete the strand map.. it sounds like it didnt fully download and its an incomplete file.

WOW! cant open folder system error? I wounder if its becouse I have two steam accounts, one is mine, and other is my daughters..on same cpu, also 2 users created. if I uninstall, will I lose all my bought games? and will it config with my daughters steam account?

Also I think my daughter put her dl in same file? should I uninstall both, and redl to two diffrent files? and thanks very much for your fast responce..

well I have found my steam folder, I see 4 steamapps, uninstalled dods compleatly.. reinstalled dods, and its still coming up when I try to join dod_strand map. couldn't crc map maps/dod_strand.bsp. disconnecting. so I looked it up from steam help and they said its the server not letting me dl it..or problem from server.. could anyone look into the server for me or try to dl from your server to see if your having same problem..I didn't unistall steam yet. thanks much for your help all....

well done all but uninstall steam, sent them the problem Im having hope they get back to me, just dont know why this is doing this to my steam dods..

I have an issue with launching my team fortress 2.
It freezes on the "Team Fortress 2 is launching..."
we verified with spidEY if it was clientregistry.blob, we verified if it was gameoverlayUI, and we also re-installed everything from steam to tf2...
any help?

If so maybe it needs a more clear (or new sticky) Called eGO Live tech support chat or something, cuz from the post I've been reading doesn't seem many know about this resource.
