It took me quite a while to come up with the best laptop for the price. It is equip with a 500GB hard drive which I upgraded to a Seagate 250gb 7200 rpm drive to get more performance. It has 2 hard drive bays, so I am using the 500GB hard drive as a storage drive. This laptop cost me about 1260 after I upgraded the hard drive. It has a total of 4gb of ddr3 memory (upgradeable to 8gb of ddr3), 2.53ghz dual core duo, and a 9800M GTS. I threw Windows 7 on it and here are some game ratings:

Game Performance:

On Left 4 Dead, I managed to get 40-110 fps with 2x aa and 4x Anisotrophic and the rest on high settings.

TF2, I managed to stay steady at 60fps in open areas with a lot of action going on with max settings, no aa and trilinear filtering.

With World of Warcraft, I hit 40-45FPS in Dalaran and 80-95FPS in Orgrimmar and other major cities with MAX settings.

One bonus with this laptop is the sound quality is great and it has a built in mic so a headset is not absolutely needed. Overall I am impressed with this laptop and it is going to be a great mobile gaming laptop.

I have a p7805u, and am VERY satisfied with it. I wouldn't mind having a little more cpu power, but oh well.

It's $500 to get it up to 3.0ghz dual, so maybe when I get a car, and a bunch of other stuff that's more important, I'll upgrade my cpu lol.

I was actually looking at the p7807u before the 7809 and decided to get the one with the more powerful cpu. the 7807 has a 2.4ghz

But what's the price difference? I got my 7805u for $889. So for the 3.0ghz processor I'm looking at, it's be able $1300 (laptop + cpu).

I believe the 7807u had a smaller hard drive and 2.4ghz processor at about $1100 (may be lower or higher depending on where you get it), and mine has a 2.53ghz processor and 500gb hdd and It was $1200 (also depending on where you get it)

yea that laptop was praised for a long time as the best budget gamer notebook.
Asus has a laptop out that comes with a GTX 260m and its just as cheap.
