Wen't and saw it.

First off, let me tell you, I am the biggest horror movie fan ever. But this movie was god awful. Only startled me once. Me, and everyone else in the theater, spent more time laughing and joking then anything else.

i thought it was stupid as well, but here it is 4 in the morning and I'm not asleep yet. I laughed in the theater, but I still can't bring myself to sleep.

Yeah I called my friend that saw it before who was terrified and he said "Just wait 'till you get home."

Well, I waited. I slept pretty damn good.

I would think they spent more than $15,000. It might be a low-budget movie, but the amount of hype they paid for is astronomical. Every radio station and almost all the television channels I watch and listen, not to the mention the internet had ads for this movie. Advertising is expensive.

$15,000 in production costs. Advertising is not included in that. I think total advertising was like $2,000,000 or something.

maybe not... but that isn't production cost... the studio paid for that.. after the movie was made and picked up by them...

there was alot of word of mouth, independent web sites and giant web sites like yahoo posting articles on it so that helped.

even if the cost to make it was $1 million dollars!!!!(dr evil voice) it so far has grossed 66 million or so, that still aint too shabby cuz it hasnt even been released on dvd yet.
