I know that quick-reloading is done the same way as the old Counter-Strike method of switching weapons; as soon as you fire, switch to the previous weapon and back again. The bolt-action rifles (K98,K98k, Springfield) will all rechamber slightly faster when done this way.

Well all you do is click shift(to run) + right mouse button(to zoom in) at the same time. It takes some practice to do but once master it saves a bit of time when zooming.

That. This gives the illusion that you're still in sprint while in fact you're already zoomed (sometimes), and if your reflexes are fast enough and you send a shot after a zoom and before the sprint animation stops you get a LOT of dirty looks by senior admins haha. It's awesome. There are scripts for things like quickscoping and weapon cycling which is why the most finely turned snipers often look suspect. Spread the word, though, this is legitimate and if none of these other top tier guys submit a video explanation I'll try to get one up by Sunday.

There are several ways to get your scope up faster, some use SCRIPTS others use the SHIFT fwd to scope faster. There maybe other ways which I have not heard of.

As for myself I just zoom in and fire away, some servers don't want you using Scripts which is fine by me.

The way I see it, for any server if you are fast at switching your weapons to zoom in faster with-out scripts there should never be a problem playing on any server.

hit q twice as fast as you can....and for shift zoom practice against entrenched snipers and mgs... nothing makes you better like failure

try this:type in consel cl_autorezoom 0
if you're reloading, press your button to go back to your scope.
it is 1 seconds faster, but the practice requested.

As ron and others said, its the process of sprinting during your scope animation. Its doable without scripts but theres plenty of skill-less players out there who have the script do it for them.

I am able to do it but rarely use it. Maybe one time per month when I'm in a tricky situation do I even bother to do it.

Strafe/Slide Scoping is my preference since I rely more on my reaction time than the "quick scope".

ditto. I only quickscope against a really good sniper who's expecting a slide strafe around a pretty common corner. The hope is that he leads me or trails me a little too much during my sprint and I don't miss when I settle.
